Welcome
Silence is a lethal sound
when it comes from a child who has been mistreated. Say No To Abuse
was created with the aim of shattering this silence. Kim Scott, who
founded the organization in 2004, began with the hopes of providing an
axis of support and site for education during all stages of the
neglect, exploitation, and maltreatment of children. Scott reveals
that “the greatest thing is to know my purpose in life, which is to
save children. Everything I do revolves around that.” But sometimes,
even passion and benevolent intent is not enough. Injury cannot always
be directly interrupted or prevented, since too often it can suppress
any victim’s ability to reach out for help. However, offering
attention, strength, and information can shorten the length of time in
which the child is battered. Regardless of how large or small the
effects, let Say No To Abuse be that first step towards breaking the
pattern of child abuse. |
